China tells living Buddhas to obtain permission before they reincarnate

Posted in politics, religion by Paul Sabou on May 12, 2008

Chinese government imposed a law that obliges any new Dalai Lama’s to be government recognised. At first this looks hilarious because it’s like you would impose a government regulation over miracles or revelations. But, in the end it’s nothing more than another mechanism by which the Chinese government regulates any aspect of chinese people lifes.

And (it seems) they have very litle choice for opposition. Maybe China is a good place to do business, but certainly it’s a bad place to live.

Everyone can have it’s own museum

This is the first (25 million $) creationist museum. They say that Adam and Eve had dinosaurs as pets. Even Noah boarded dinosaurs (even T-Rex-es) on it’s ARC.

When you take a tour of the Creationist Museum, you are beeing told that dinosaurs remains, are not older that 6000 years and that the evolutionist are wrong (the evolutionist suggest :) that those remains are millions of years old).

This is going to have a real effect on the way people treat science museums. Until recently people considered that whatever you would put in a science museum is scientific fact (and there is no point of controversy).

As for my oppinion, I strongly recommand you to visit the Tomb of Jesus in Japan. It’s where the real Jesus died and, where you can meet the grand-grand..-grand-son of Jesus.

50% Good News Is the Bad News in Russian Radio

Posted in politics by Paul Sabou on April 22, 2007

This is the recent policy update for most of the state (or state friendly) controlled media in Russia. Things seem not to go in the right direction for Russia. I think that we should soon expect something like Internet censorship for russian surfers (See the chinese firewall programme).
